Aquatic plants are plants that adopt to living in aquatic environments. These plants require special adaptations for living submerged in water or at the water’s surface. Aquatic plants can only grow in water or in soil that is permanently saturated with water.
Still Water Aquatics has been providing aquatic plants in the Indian market from 2006 to support the growth of the planted aquarium hobby.
In 2014, in collaboration with Sri Bhagyalakshmi farms, Still Water Aquatics set up India’s first State of the Art Tissue culture lab dedicated for aquatic plants. The lab now caters to a global market of over 10 countries by producing some of the finest tissue culture plants.
This innovative project is spearheaded by Dr.S.K Unnikrishnan along with a dedicated team. He carries an experience of over 15 plus years in the research of aquatic plants in International markets and his current association with us enhances us to scale greater heights in shorter time frame.
Continuous R&D is being pursued to develop more varieties of aquatic plants and we follow a 5 step process before the plants are introduced into the market.
